The research grant offers the opportunity to realise a research project in Germany. During a doctorate funding is available for 2 to 12 months, and in the early postdoc phase for 2 to 6 months.

16.11.2026 Scholarship holders with a term of 7 months or more will start their scholarship on 01 October 2027 at the earliest.
A decision by the selection committee can be expected from March 2027 at the earliest.
DAAD grants for university teachers and artists which enable them to continue their education with a study visit to Germany and intensify artistic cooperations with German host institutions.
